Joe Bryant, Father of Kobe Bryant, Passes Away at 69

Joe Bryant, the father of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant, has passed away at the age of 69. Bryant, nicknamed "Jellybean," starred at La Salle University before being drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1975. He played eight seasons in the NBA, averaging 8.7 points per game.

Bryant's death comes four years after the tragic and untimely death of his son, Kobe, in a helicopter crash in 2020. Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players of all time, winning five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Joe Bryant is survived by his wife, Pam, and two other daughters, Sharia and Shaya.
